Bicycles Recalled by Nirve Sports; Stem Failure Poses Fall Hazard

The hazard

The bicycle stem can crack and cause the rider to lose control, posing a risk of serious injury if the rider falls.

Incidents reported: Nirve Sports has received two reports of cracked stems. In both cases, the cracks occurred during assembly of the bicycle. No injuries have been reported.

What to do now

Consumers should immediately stop riding the bicycles and return them to the place of purchase for free repair.

About this recall

This recall involves Cannibal "Chopper" model bicycles with graphic designs by artist Corey Miller. The bicycles have a black matte finish. The affected bicycles have a serial number within the following range: L8E0300001 - L8E1001050. Serial numbers are located on the bottom of the bicycle between the pedals.
