BRP U.S. Inc. Recalls Snowmobiles Due to Fire Hazard

The hazard

Friction between the fuel hose and the cylinder head cover can cause the hose to pierce. This can cause fuel to leak out, posing a fire hazard.

Incidents reported: The firm has received two reports of fuel leakage and five additional reports of hose wear. No injuries or property damage have been reported.

What to do now

Consumers should stop using these vehicles immediately and contact any Ski-Doo dealer to schedule a free repair. Consumers with recalled snowmobiles are being sent a direct notice from BRP.

The recall involves the following Ski-Doo® Models: Model Color 2007 and 2008 Expedition TUV V800 Deep Red/Black 2007 and 2008 Skandic SWT V-800 Yellow/Black The model names are located on the side panel.
