CPSC, Cables To Go Announce Recall of Power Adapters Sold with Go!Data Drive Enclosures

The hazard
A component inside the adapters can overheat, posing a risk of fire or electrical shock.
Incidents reported: Cables To Go has received five reports of adapters overheating, including one report of the carpet beneath the adapter being damaged. No injuries have been reported.
What to do now
Consumers should unplug the AC adapter from the electrical outlet and stop using the product immediately. Contact Cables To Go for information on receiving a free replacement unit.

About this recall
The recall involves AC power adapters sold with Go!Data 3.5-inch IDE external hard drive enclosures. The AC adapters were sold only with the drive enclosures. "PRiver" or "MoreTec" is written on the enclosures.
