CPSC, Country Home Products, Inc. Announce Recall to Repair Cordless Electric Lawnmowers

The hazard

When the handlebar is released on the recalled lawnmowers, the motor could continue to run, which causes the blade to continue to spin. In addition, there is excessive heat build up in the wire coil inside the housing and also in the safety key.

Incidents reported: Country Home Products, Inc. has received nine total reports of incidents in which the mower and blade did not turn off when the handle was released, causing excessive heat built up in the internal wire brake coil and safety key. No injuries or property damage have been reported.
