CPSC, Electrolux Home Products, Inc. Announce Recall of Garden Tractors
The hazard
Under certain operating conditions, the rear wheel hub may crack or wear and spin free on its axle, resulting in a loss of power to the wheel and brake, which poses the risk of injury to consumers.
Incidents reported: One incident reported. No injuries reported.
What to do now
Consumers who have purchased one of these garden tractors (within the affected date code range) are asked to stop using the tractor immediately, call the appropriate telephone number for your model in the list, give the customer service representative your garden tractor model name, model number and serial number information. This information is located under the tractor seat on the fender. We will verify if your tractor is affected by this recall. If your tractor is affected, we will schedule a free repair of the unit.
