The hazard
The motors in these humidifiers can overheat, posing a fire hazard.
Incidents reported: Hunter Fan has received nine reports of the humidifiers' motors overheating, including one incident involving minor property damage. No injuries have been reported.
What to do now
Consumers should stop using these humidifiers and unplug them immediately. Call Hunter at any time, to arrange for a free replacement part or refund.
