CPSC, Ocean Management Systems Announce Recall of SCUBA Manifolds

The hazard

Undersized o-rings installed on the cross bar can cause a loss of breathing air from the SCUBA cylinder, presenting a risk of drowning.

Incidents reported: There has been one report of breathing air leaking from a cylinder. No injuries have been reported.

What to do now

Affected units will be replaced at no cost to the consumer.

About this recall

The recall involves the 200 and 300 Bar versions of the OMS Rotating Cross Bar Manifold. The manifold consists of two valves which have "O.M.S." stamped on the side of each valve and a crossbar that has three O-rings per side. Each part has a black plastic knob.
