CPSC, Pottery Barn Kids Inc. Announce Recall of Bunk Beds
The hazard
The side rail and guardrails on these beds can break, causing the bed to collapse and allowing childen to fall out of the beds.
Incidents reported: Pottery Barn has received two reports of beds collapsing. Two 3-year-old girls suffered minor scrapes and bruises in separate incidents.
What to do now
Consumers should stop using the bunk beds and contact Pottery Barn Kids to schedule a home pick-up. The firm will refund the purchase price, including shipping, and provide a $200 gift certificate.
