CPSC, Shivvers Manufacturing Announce Recall of Blower Blades for the Jazee and Jazee One Grass Collection Systems

The hazard

The ends of the blades on these Country Clipper riding mowers can break off and become projectiles, leaving the mower deck at a high rate of speed. The recalled blades can break because "slots" in the blade cause metal fatigue.

Incidents reported: Shivvers has received six reports of ends breaking off blades of the riding mowers. There have been no reports of injuries or property damage.

What to do now

Consumers should stop using the Country Clipper Jazee Lawn Mowers with Grass Collection Systems with the recalled blades immediately. Call the Country Clipper dealer to make an appointment for free replacement of the recalled blades.

Contact: Call Country Clipper toll-free at (800) 344-8237 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday or log on to the company's website at www.countryclipper.com
