CPSC, Sunrise Medical Announce Recall of 3-Wheel Hand Cycle

ChokingImpact / crash

The hazard

There is a small risk that the quick release axles of the rear wheels do not lock correctly. If the quick release axle is not fully and properly engaged, the wheel could become detached while moving. A detached wheel could result in loss of control of the cycle and potential for serious injury or death, due to a fall or collision with another object.

Incidents reported: Sunrise Medical has received one report, in which the quick release failed and the rider suffered minor injuries.
