CPSC, Tahsin Industrial Corp. Announce Recall of Treestands

The hazard

The treestand's bracket can bend if not secured properly by a chain and if weight is applied. This can cause the chain to disengage from the stand, the stand to separate from the tree and the user to fall and suffer serious injuries.

Incidents reported: Tahsin received one report in which a person fell from an unknown elevation, while using the treestand.

What to do now

Consumers should stop using the treestand immediately and contact Ameristep Customer Service or any of the retailers to receive information on properly setting up the unit.

Contact: Consumers can call Ameristep Customer Service Department at (800) 374-7837 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit www.tahsinusa.com or www.ameristep.com to print out supplemental instructions.
