Critical Recalled December 10, 2004 About 1,500 units Updated November 20, 2024

Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. is Recalling 2005 Model Off-highway Motorcycles

Tip-over

The hazard

On some units, the rear shock absorber may have been assembled with an incorrect o-ring, allowing fluid to leak from the shock. Fluid loss from the shock can compromise the shock's damping characteristics, which can render the motorcycle unstable, creating a potential for an injury or death.

Incidents reported: None Reported.

What to do now

Consumers should stop using the motorcycles immediately and contact their Kawasaki dealer to schedule an appointment for a free replacement of the rear shock.

Contact: For more information, contact your Kawasaki dealer or call Kawasaki toll-free at 866-802-9381 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. PT, Monday through Friday and/or on the web address www.kawasaki.com
