The compressor's motor can overheat and ignite the protective cover, posing a fire hazard to consumers. Also, the cover might not prevent internal components from being touched, which poses an electrical shock hazard.
Incidents reported: The firm has received four reports of fires. No injuries have been reported.
What to do now
Consumers should stop using the air compressor immediately and return it to any Advance Auto Parts store for a full refund.

The model and serial numbers are located on the compressor's housing.
